On June 7th, 2018, at the biggest annual awarding event held by Nhip Cau Dau Tu magazine, Gemadept Corporation continued to be honored among “Vietnam’s 50 best-performing companies (TOP 50) 2018”.
The TOP 50 is a prestigious ranking done annually by Nhip Cau Dau Tu magazine in association with Thien Viet Securities with the counsel from financial analysis experts from Harvard Business School and with reference from the world rankings such as Bloomberg Businessweek, Fortune and global Forbes in order to find and honor best-performing companies on Vietnam Stock exchange market.
The Council of Advisors of TOP 50 project maintained the following 3 conditions that companies must satisfy to be chosen: (1) Being listed on Vietnam Stock exchange market with market capitalization of VND 1,500 billion or more; (2) Revenue in the three years preceding the survey year is VND 250 billion or more; (3) Net profit in the three years preceding the survey year is VND 25 billion or more.
The result of this year’s Top 50 depends on enterprises’ business performance shown via important criteria: SR-CAGR, ROE, stock return in the past 3 years.
The fact that Gemadept continued to be honored among Top 50 has further asserted the Corporation’s positive business results and strategic development in the future.
Last year, despite domestic market showed certain prospering signals, there remained a lot of difficulties to businesses. With the flexible management policy, active prevention of risks, efficiency improvement, proper capture of opportunities, and especially with valuable support from customers, partners and authorities, Gemadept successfully outperformed its business targets. Specifically, the Corporation’s revenue reached VND 3,990 billion and profit before tax reached VND 650 billion, achieving good growth against the same period.
Towards mid-term development goals by 2022, the Corporation continues well running the current network while developing key projects in its core businesses of Port Operation and Logistics, pushing up the strengths of a leading Vietnamese brand proudly walking side by side with international corporations.
