Among the hundreds of enterprises listed on the Vietnam stock market today, there are names that have been accompanied the market since the first days and are growing strongly. The more severe the spiral, the more stable Gemadept became, demonstrating the ability to improvise flexibly and overcome the difficult period of the stock market.

The Vietnam's stock market has given wings to businesses to develop because it is an important and effective capital mobilization channel for businesses in particular and the economy in general.
Thanks to the development of the stock market, listed companies have easily mobilized cheap capital to increase their scale of operations, of which Gemadept is no exception.
From the capital mobilized through the stock market, Gemadept has increased its resources to invest in the core business strategy of ports and logistics. The projects are all placed in important economic strategic locations across the country, with noticeable projects being Gemalink Deep-sea Port, or Nam Dinh Vu Port Cluster.
In 2019, the Gemalink Deep-sea Port Project, which is the pride of Gemadept as well as of the maritime industry, began its construction. Phase 1 of the Project was quickly completed and put into operation from the beginning of 2021. Gemalink Deep-sea Port then achieved more than 2 million Teu throughput after only 2 years of operation. This is the record in the port operation industry in Vietnam.
The birth of Gemalink Deep-sea Port has been bringing a huge competitive advantage to Gemadept in the seaport field, as it is capable of receiving the world's largest container vessels, up to 250,000 DWT.
Furthermore, the Port has been playing the role in changing the import and export method of Vietnam. Instead of going through foreign transshipment ports, Vietnamese goods can now connect directly to the big markets, such as the US and Europe, thanks to Gemalink.
In the Northern market, Nam Dinh Vu Port Cluster consists of 3 phases. With a berth length of 1.5 km, it is able to welcome vessels with a tonnage of up to 48,000 DWT. Making a record with fast construction time and good operation of phase 1 and phase 2, right after being put into operation at the end of May 2023, the Port is expected to reach 80% of capacity this year. On average, there are 18 vessels going in and out of the Port each week now, more than 3 times higher than the number of vessels calling at the Port when there was just phase 1.
Nam Dinh Vu Port is built and invested synchronously in terms of infrastructure, equipment, and technology according to international standards, very modern and environmentally friendly. When phase 3 is completed, Nam Dinh Vu Port Cluster will become the largest river port in the North, able to receive feeder vessels and the largest intra-Asian vessels in the river port area.
Nam Dinh Vu is ready to serve the transportation needs of services connecting to China, Thailand and other Southeast Asian countries. At the same time, opening up opportunities to develop import and export markets between Vietnam and South Asian countries, typically India.
Gemadept's Gemalink Deep-sea Port and the satellite ports in the South working in harmony with Dung Quat Port in the Central region and the port cluster in the North will help the system grow stronge. This growth can contribute to the construction and development of Vietnam's seaport infrastructure on a larger scale, best serving the trade between Vietnam and other countries in the world.

It’s true that the stock market has given wings to listed companies to thrive.
