Nurturing education for the future generation
Gemadept believes that investing in education means investing in a bright future. The Company is especially interested in providing a safe learning environment and healthy development conditions for children. These children include those in difficult circumstances and those in highland areas, all over the country. It is evident through many diverse activities of the Company, one of them being the annual “Gemadept Run”. From this meaningful event, Gemadept has devoted itself to building schools, supporting essential teaching and learning equipment for the School Construction Project (under the Nuoi Em ecosystem), and contributing to cultivating future talents.
This commitment is also expressed through the 2021-2023 Gemadept Scholarship Program, sponsoring long-term scholarships for talented students nationwide. Students receiving these scholarships have the opportunity to intern and work at Gemadept and its member companies. In addition, Gemadept also organizes port visits and internship programs for university students, helping them better understand the maritime industry and future career paths.
Promoting community health
Gemadept values health as the foundation for sustainable development, demonstrated through comprehensive healthcare for employees, ensuring labor safety and supporting the community. The Company organizes annual health checks for employees, carrying out vaccinations, donating ventilators and medical equipment to hospitals during the Covid-19 pandemic, participating in voluntary blood donation, and donating to support people in need. In addition, Gemadept also organizes sporting events to encourage a healthy lifestyle, physical fitness, and community engagement.

Increasing sustainable values
Gemadept constantly strives to create practical values for the community through humane social activities. In addition to creating jobs for the local people, Gemadept also maintains annual volunteer activities to support orphans, children with disabilities, and people facing difficulties due to natural disasters across the country.
The Company participates in community development projects such as visiting and giving charity to orphanages and nursing homes annually.
Committed to the environment, joining hands to combat climate change, the Seed for Sea afforestation project is Gemadept’s prime example, where the Company participates in planting trees and promoting the planting and protection of mangrove forests. In early 2024, Gemadept organized events to greenify ports at major ports such as Nam Dinh Vu Port and Dung Quat Port, minimizing environmental impacts and protecting the ecosystem.
