Currently, the world and Vietnam business communities are facing very rapid fluctuations in the global socio-economic situation. However, challenges always go hand in hand with opportunities. For Gemadept, the top priority in the current period is to optimize operational and administrative efficiency, promote digital transformation initiatives, rationalize production costs, closely monitor market developments to respond flexibly, and actively seek opportunities to strengthen, expand, and diversify strategic partners. By doing so, Gemadept manages to maintain and develop its market share, while ensuring the progress of key port projects to promptly capture development momentum when the market recovers.
Regarding the outlook for the last few months of 2023, although many challenges still remain, the market is showing signs of improvement. Import and export are expected to grow again with motivation from intra-Asian trade, in addition to the push from new generation FTAs, FDI capital flows, and government efforts. Gemadept is being proactive and flexible in the new situation, making strategic decisions to overcome headwinds and aiming for effective business growth. The Company continues investment in developing Nam Dinh Vu Port Cluster (Phase 3) in Hai Phong, Gemalink Deep-sea Port (Phase 2) in Ba Ria-Vung Tau province and its satellite system, applies advanced and environmentally friendly technologies, has a sustainable development orientation, along with complementary projects. This allows Gemadept to take steady steps towards the future with a strong mindset and a solid foundation in human resources, technology, finance, etc.
