On February 14th 2019, in the bustling atmosphere of the early days of the Lunar New Year, "K" line – Gemadept Co., Ltd. (KGL) solemnly celebrated the Groundbreaking Ceremony and started the construction of Auto-Logistics Center VPC project, specializing in serving leading car manufacturers in the market.
In the Groundbreaking Ceremony there were participations of Gemadept Corporation Management, representatives of Japanese "K" line Group, representatives of Long Hau Industrial Park, contractors and other concerned parties.
The project is invested by KGL, in which Gemadept Group holds 50% and Japanese "K" line holds 50% of contributed capital. Located in Long Hau Industrial Park, adjacent to the existing Auto-logistics Centers operated by KGL since 2016, the project spreads over an area of 5.4 hectares with a storage capacity of 2,500 cars, including factory, roofed parking area, equipped with ultramodern special equipment to provide storage, maintenance, repair and Pre-delivery Inspection, etc., to ensure the best vehicle quality when delivered to distributors as required by customers.
Construction time is expected to be completed within 6 months, ready to receive the first shipment from 07/2019. At the Ceremony, KGL representatives, consultants and construction design contractors committed to customers to deploy the construction safely, timely and assure quality to put into operation in the soonest time, at the same time preparing human resources, facilities to provide high quality services as required and committed to customers, bringing to customers added value for long-term and stable cooperation between the parties.
Japan's "K" line and Gemadept have had a good cooperation for nearly 30 years. KGL Joint Venture was established in 2014, inherited the strength of both parties; with hundred years of experience of "K" line Japan and the leading Port – Logistics position of Gemadept in Vietnam.
Following the success of container CY service exploitation, KGL continues to expand its activities in the field of Logistics and value-added services for CBU imported cars in Vietnam. Currently, KGL is providing services to the world's leading automakers.
The development of this project is a new one of KGL, aiming to lead the market in the field of Auto-logistics, always is a reliable choice of customers and maintaining the role of one strategic link in the integrated and comprehensive Logistics service chain of Gemadept Corporation.
